Question by Pickle Suprise!: How do we honor our FAKE war heroes?
These men of (dis)honor have read books about combat and war, spent a couple hundred dollars or less on their uniforms, ribbons and medals and told some very interesting stories,
Put their necks out on the line facing embarassment, fines and jail/prison time.
don’t they deserve something?
I am talking about those people like Jesse Macbeth. I posted about this HERO on my 360 page.

the war heroes | Troopers: Heroes of World Struggle II – Lighthouse (Half 2 of two)

SOLDIERS: HEROES OF WORLD WAR II Lighthouse – UK Campaign (Part 2 of 2) Difficulty: Normal The UK campaign’s first mission is also one of the more difficult (but also memorable) levels in the game, especially if you’re not familiar with what needs to be done. The main objective is take out a couple of german heavy coastal guns using a small group of “commandos”. This mission sets the tone for the rest of the UK campaign, with more difficult missions but also great gameplay and a persistent set of troops. The first phase of the mission involves skirmish around the titular lighthouse (which naturally needs to be blown to bits as well :) . After securing a small torpedo boat to destroy searchlights and 88′s (which I believe may also be destroyed though other means) near the beach head, another group of soldiers is then dropped into the mainland to finish the job. The second phase generally involves battles around trenches (?) as you clear out a path to the coastal guns, with some light vehicles thrown in the mix. DESCRIPTION At a glance, Soldiers: Heroes of World War II looks like another addition in the crowded WWII RTS market. But a quick run with the demo immediately dissolves that notion. Released in 2004, Soldiers is a real time tactical game set in war torn Europe. The Allied and Axis factions in the game each has their own campaigns, in addition to an assortment of stand alone missions. Battles often pit the player against (absurdly) overwhelming odds, with enemy

Soldiers: Heroes of World War II - Ambush (Part 2 of 2)

SOLDIERS: HEROES OF WORLD WAR II Ambush – UK Campaign (Part 2 of 2) Difficulty: Normal The fourth mission of The UK campaign: set up an ambush to retrieve the missile guidance system. This mission is fairly challenging, especially towards the end. The second part deals with setting up mines and defensive positions to anticipate the enemy convoy. And of course, the “ambush” itself :) Actually, I’ve cut some footage from the mission so that the whole thing could fit in two videos. Primarily, the setting up of AT and antipersonnel mines, and the sniping of the mobile AA crew. Battles often pit the player against (absurdly) overwhelming odds, with enemy troops, armored vehicles and heavy guns in abundance. In short, there’s going to be plenty of “oh crap” moments. One of the things that set the game apart is the superb physics engine powering the game: the ensuing chaos of war is rendered beautifully as buildings turn to rubble while tank turrets get blown off, to name a few. To put it simply, these are some of the most chaotic renditions of the war ever seen in a strategy game. And that is not

women war heroes | Australian War Heroes Music – Remembrance Day Song

Australian war heroes song. Remembrance DaySong Can You Hear Australia’s Heroes Marching? is a national war memorial song and a tribute to the ANZAC spirit of mateship, courage, and sacrifice. The song is timeless and honours the memory of those who have died in the service and defence of Australia in war. The marching theme of the song is especially powerful and supports the spirit of ANZAC Day. The song does not glorify war or endorse conflict of any kind. The song simply highlights the sacrifice of many Australians who died in the service and defence of our country in war. Schools and students frequently ask to use this song in projects and commemorative ceremonies. Radio stations throughout Australia have broadcast the song leading up to ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day. The song is also requested to be played at funerals (for veterans). “I thought the music was a modern reflection on Australia’s war dead… As a Vietnam veteran I would have to say that it is a wonderful tribute to all who have fallen.” Edmund ‘Ted’ Harrison “I am taking a funeral tomorrow of a Vietnam Vet who died last week of cancer. The family would like to use your song… I am asking for permission to use it at the funeral.” E-mail from a Reverend “Congratulations on your very professionally presented song, ‘Can You Hear Australia’s Heroes Marching?’ It is most patriotic, stirring and respectfully thought provoking.” Major General Peter Phillips AO MC (Retd) National President of the RSL This year

Irish WW2 heroes who deserted de Valera's cowardly child-abusing state

figh.tk – For Freedom Forums John Waite reports for the BBC. “1939 and as the world plunged into war, the leaders of the Republic of Ireland decided their country should remain neutral. But over the next few years, more than 10% of the Irish army deserted to join the fight against fascism. On their return from war they were harshly punished for serving in the armed forces of the old enemy, Britain. Dismissed without pay and pension, they were placed on a blacklist banning them from any job paid for from government funds.” “Hundreds of the children of deserters were ordered to be taken away from their parents by the courts.” Robert Widders – “These children were placed into church and state-run institutions where physical and sexual abuse were absolutely rife and it makes me especially angry because we know from the records that the children of deserters where singled out for particularly harsh treatment.” Gerald Nash TD – “What happened to these men was a particularly vindictive measure. It is a stain on Irish history and I believe that the government must act with urgency to resolve this matter and to essentially provide a pardon to these men.”

“Top Secret” mystery missions, many without other ships in support, were becoming uncomfortably familiar for the crew of the USS Nashville CL43. It started like a Hollywood thriller, secretly transporting from England million in British gold bullion, delivered to the ship in unguarded bread trucks, a pre-war “Neutrality Patrol” that was really an unofficial hostile search for the far bigger and more powerful German battleship Prinz Eugen, and sneaking through the Panama Canal at nigh
