heroes wars | The Irish Soldiers, my poem – what do you suppose
Question by godsnarnialover: The Irish Soldiers, my poem – what do you think?
THE IRISH SOLDIERS
One and all
Together they stood
They took the fall
In this battle
Through this time
They became wise
All Ireland together
For each soldier, Ireland cries
Because those heroes
Those Irish men
Went to war with their woes
To stand for what they believed in
They shivered in the trenches
Fought hard
But when they came home
They discovered a bitter reward
Their own turned their backs
Said, Traitors! And,
Who are these wacks?
They were left, standing in the cold
One by one, soon all
These men became dead, gone
But as people realized who they really were
Their victory was won
Memorials
Were erected for them
Knowing that the heroes were real
And had really stood
For their memory
On their remembrances
Hangs white and orange lilies
And in their heads the soldier’s song dances
For on November Eleventh to this day
At eleven o’clock exactly
Two minutes heads are bowed in this way
In a silent respect
For those who died
Who gave their all
For those, many tears have been cried
The Soldiers of Ireland.
****I am not trying to be rude to the Irish people – I really love the Irish. We all act like this – the American soldiers coming home from Vietnam were treated the same way. We all only realize what heroes they really were when they are dead, which is a dreadful shame.****
What do you think?

I don’t think you are rude at all. This could however use some editing to improve the flow. Try reading aloud to get the sense of the beat. Sometimes keeping line length in beats also helps flow. This has much merit but needs more polishing.

Co-sponsorship: Farber Center. Gayle Tzemach Lemmon is a major new voice on the role of female entrepreneurs in the developing world. Her book, The Dressmaker of Khair Khana, is a crystallization of her view that women are the unsung heroes of war-torn regions and emerging markets alike. Centering on Kamila Sidiqi, and ingenious young Afghan who created jobs for 100 women in her community during the Taliban years, Lemmon's book highlights the relationship between women and work, showing that leadership and empowerment can come out of even the most difficult situations. These women, and many millions more like them are not victims, Lemmon reminds us; they represent the tenacious heart — and the best hope for their nation in the years to come.

Theory Of A Deadman
Idea of a Deadman had a simple however daunting objective for its third album: to make the greatest document possible. “I all the time attempt to remind the guys and myself that there are 20 bands lined up behind us just ready for an opportunity to take our place,” says frontman Tyler Connolly. “So meaning we had to go in there and make an ideal record.” With Scars & Souvenirs, the Vancouver trio has hit its mark. The balanced thirteen-monitor effort is the polished and passionate testament to seven years of hard work, heavy touring and diligent consideration to its craft. From the swirling grind of “By the Way” to the nasty snarl of “Crutch” to the soaring melodicism of “Not Meant to Be” and “Wait For Me,” Scars & Souvenirs is a broad-reaching endeavor that puts Connolly, guitarist Dave Brenner and bassist Dean Again excessive in the rock pantheon, reaching creative progress without sacrificing the hard-hitting energy that received them here within the first place.
Pop Evil
Since re-releasing their first file in 2008, Pop Evil has developed their following the hard way. They have toured the US constantly since their first launch, enjoying nearly four hundred exhibits in two years and only taking time off to document their new album, War of Angels. Leaving no stone unturned, no fan’s question unanswered, and no highway untraveled, the group pulled themselves up from their bootstra…ps and constructed themselves into a radio rock powerhouse that conjures the dirtiest hooks of the onerous rocking 70ʼs, the hair metal eighty’s and the grunge – fueled 90ʼs…filtering all of it via a modern prism coupled with a philosophical and spiritual outlook. Warfare Of Angels is an affidavit to Pop Evil’s resilience. Having been down a major label route fraught with the frustrations felt by far too many bands, the group has emerged with a Top 5 Active Rock single. They toured with Papa Roach and Judas Priest and created what Spin Magazine known as one of the “10 Best Moments of Rock on the Range” the place in entrance of tens of thousands of their heartland of the united statesA. rock fans, they ceremoniously tore up their old contract and introduced a brand new dawn. With an output that easily appeals to college students of Weapons N’ Roses, Pantera, Motley Crue and Aerosmith, Pop Evil remains to be nevertheless possessed with a talent, charisma and general musical aesthetic that is decidedly and distinctly their own. They have put their stamp on the arduous rock landscape with assured confidence and expert precision. “Weʼre only a bunch of fellows that grew up together and are hungry for rock nʼ roll,” frontman Leigh Kakaty simply states. “There are no othersecond choices for us. Itʼs just music. Thatʼs what weʼve finished, this is where we have all the time wanted to be, and grind is what weʼll proceed to do.” Coming from Michigan, one of many states within the nation hit hardest by the financial downturn, Pop Evil is aware of something about hardship and the center that it takes to persevere, to beat and to conquer. They know the meaning of hard work, too. Their indie debut, Lipstick on the Mirror, resulted in a re- release by way of a serious label and a number of other inroads on rock radio nevertheless it’s been phrase-of-mouth and dwell reveals that have really pushed the just lately renewed momentum behind the band as their distinctive story continues to build. “Weʼre only a good quaint Midwestern band that believes in grassroots and doing it from the ground up” Kakaty explains. “Weʼre the same band thatʼll rock your face with some heavy steel riffs then convey out the acoustic guitar and play some ballads.” Their very monicker represents one thing of a lifestyle to these five men. “Pop” represents the band’s impressive hooks and nicely-crafted choruses whereas “Evil” conjures the extra aggressive, onerous rock facet of the band. The band is a true mixture of pop sensibilities and “evil” sounding rock n’ roll. It isn’t a lot about distancing themselves from the mainstream as it’s about forcing the mainstream to return to them, on their very own terms. “I believe all five of us didnʼt actually fit in, in our own methods, rising up,” Kakaty reasons. “Pop Evil is type of our way of saying, “this is our fraternity, our home.’” The songs on Warfare Of Angels reflect the various shapes, colours and feelings represented in a Pop Evil performance. The album provides a superb showcase for Kakaty’s impressive vary and various approaches, the guitar showmanship of Dave Grahs and Tony Greve, the strong bottom finish of Matt DiRito and the rhythmic pulse of drummer Dylan Allison. “Last Man Standing” is a shot throughout the bow, serving discover to the rest of rock radio-land that Pop Evil crafts music of a higher caliber. “It’s superb to see the reactions we get from the followers and the way much the track means to them. That is priceless,” Kakaty says. “Bosses Daughter” was co-written with the legendary Mick Mars of Motley Crue. “It is acquired that rockin’ vibe where it picks up and simply doesn’t cease,” points out DiRito. “I get such a kick out of playing it live. I feel like I am in Motley Crue. It becomes my Nikki Sixx second!” Different standouts embrace “Monster You Made,” which addresses some arduous occasions and factors to the facility of constructive considering to overcome obstacles. There’s also “Damaged & Betrayed” which has stunning melodies and incredibly memorable singalong harmonies. “Next Life” is probably the album’s most reflective song, notably for Kakaty, who misplaced his father earlier this year. “Clearly itʼs a very personal piece for me as well.” “And the record goes on with every music,” he adds. “I donʼt assume thereʼs anybody I really like greater than the opposite, I usually hearken to the music that finest fits my mood.” With a career-defining sophomore album of their arsenal, Pop Evil are primed and able to take their rightful place in the hard rock pantheon amongst their contemporaries and heroes. “We wish to be known as a band with nice music and a fantastic dwell present,” DiRito says. Pop Evil is no fly-by-night time, truthful-climate band. War Of Angels is just one extra giant leap in a career that has been constructed on a solid basis and is meant to continue onward. Kakaty concludes, “at the end of the day, we want our followers to know that we have sacrificed our personal lives for them. We would like the people who listen to our music to know that they’ve change into our new family. That is why weʼve given up a lot to do this. They’re loved. Music is Love!”
